So on the eve of my 29th birthday, I will being going to be with a full heart and a smile on my face.
Until next time,

On the night before my birthday I never usually feel this calm, the emotions I usually feel is sadness, loneliness even, but this year I have a sense of calm, a sense of belonging and a sense of being wanted. There is only one other person other then my son who can put a smile on my face and make me the happiest I have ever been.

I was on social media earlier and stumbled upon a discussion about children and fitness well to be exact children and wearable fitness trackers. One mother brought up a good question "why does a child need a wearable fitness tracker?" Well if your child is anything like mine they want to be just like mommy and daddy, I lead a very active lifestyle, going for weekend runs to the river or going to the gym at my apartments. My son has always wanted to join I to have had a fitness tracker for about 2 years now just to keep track of my own fitness goals and to keep me encouraged to keep going. My son every time we would go out for a run would ask me when we got home "mama how far did we go?" or "Mama how many steps did we take?" I would answer him and let him know and at that moment his eyes would light up and I could see how proud of himself he was (I am equally as proud). Recently I got him a fitness tracker of his own and he was over the moon his response was "Mama I'm just like you!"
So my answer to her question of "Why does a child need a wearable fitness tracker?" is they don't need one but if they ask for one why not? After all our children just want to be like us. Lead by example, your children watch who they want to become. Until next time, Stephanie H. Last night I pulled another late night uploading pictures I had taken earlier that day to a website that reviews and then post them for people to buy. I felt really good as I had upload 10 of my best photos in the hopes that at least 1 would be accepted giving me some hope in my freelance photography career.
When I woke up this morning, I first checked my e-mail and saw that I had indeed received one from that company. My heart skipped a beat but upon opening the e-mail the skip quickly turned into a sinking feeling as all my photos had been rejected. Their reason "These photos do not meet our community standards." They did however give me the option to upload more sets of photos but it got me thinking of how many people would have taken that rejection and given up. How many awesome photos is the world missing out on just because of websites like this. So my message to you is DON'T GIVE UP!!!!! Just because you get rejected by one company does not mean your work isn't any good, just change your view and your perspective and keep fighting because the world deserves to see what you create. Find your avenue!!! Until next time, Stephanie H. I keep having to remind myself that everything takes time and that there is a right place and a right time for everything. I keep telling myself that Rome wasn't built in a day, but even with all that when you are in a tight spot you want things to happen at a faster pace whether it's more money, a better job, or better health. You just have to keep pushing and keep moving everyday and remember that everything will happen in it's own time. After all you can't rush time and everything that is meant to be will be.
Well I hope you all enjoy this post and uplifts you during this busy day. Until next time, Stephanie H. I want to start by saying it's never too early to chase your dreams and make your goals, in fact from personal experience I find that when I make my goals before the New Year and am able to get a routine down I actually tend to stick to and complete the goal I had set the year before.
How do I set my goals do you ask? Well I am going to tell you, I am a huge list maker I find that if I write it down it solidifies it and is a daily reminder to take a step every day to make it to my dream. Another way is to set reminders in your phone say if you want to save money for a trip that you want to take at the end of the year set a reminder in your phone every day with a picture that inspires you to save money for that trip. My next tip is to make a vision board of your goals and dreams for the year, it's another form of daily visual that will remind you to take a step in the right direction to make your dreams your own. And my last and final tip is to reflect each day, look back on what you did that day to get you one step closer to your goals. If you didn't do anything that day that's ok, don't beat yourself up tomorrow is a new day and a new opportunity to get you closer to the ultimate goal. Well I hope those tips helped you all and encouraged you to chase your dreams and accomplish your goals. I hope you all have an amazing night. Until next time, Stephanie H. Now that our Thanksgiving feast's are over let's all take a moment and look back on all the memories we made. Laughing until your bellies hurt and your eye's water, filling our bellies with the yumminess of the season, making conversation around the dinner table and feeling the stress of the holidays subside and fill with the happiness that we all crave.
I wish you all the best most amazing night and I hope that your day was filled with as much happiness as mine. One holiday down, one to go. Remember don't stress the only thing people are going to remember is the happiness you spread, not what you think you could have done. I hope that makes sense, but what I guess I am trying to say is don't stress and just remember that the most important things aren't the gifts you give but the memories you make. Have a wonderful night lovelies. Until next time, Stephanie H. Good afternoon everyone, I hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am just sitting here in deep thought thinking about all the shows I watch and how most of them revolve around women being rescued in one way or another. I'm always left thinking "why do they fight it?" "Who wouldn't want to be rescued by a handsome man?" But now I get it. It's not about who being rescued by someone but more about being able to rescue yourself. It's easy to be rescued by someone but the real strength comes from being able to dig down deep and fight to rescue yourself.
So that is exactly what I am doing rescuing myself, I know I have the strength to somewhere I just need to find it. My message to you is that if you don't think you can just dig deep, dive deep. You will be surprised at how much strength you can find that you didn't even know you had. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. Stephanie H. It's 11:11 Pm the night before Thanksgiving and as I sit here in bed I ramble off a list in my head of all the things I am grateful for this year. The number 1 thing I am thankful for is my beautiful son, the second thing I am thankful for is the wonderful man I have been dating, and the third thing is my job where I have the most amazing co-workers ever.
Though my list may be small, I am still thankful that I can make a list of the things that make me happiest. So I want to know what is 1 thing you are thankful for? Because after all you only need one thing to turn your world around. Until next time, Stephanie H. I have a really weird feeling today that something is going to happen. Do you ever get that feeling where you can sense something is about to happen before it actually does? I just hope that what ever it is that happens is something good. I have had so much bad stuff happen to me here lately and let's just say 2014 has been far from good for many of us.
I just keep telling myself to think happy thoughts. Well I hope you all have an amazing Wednesday. Love and hugs from my home to your's. Stephanie |
